Ottos Restocafé first opened on Rr. Durrësit in 2018 — a small café corner that quickly became a neighbourhood favourite.

Not long after opening, we moved abroad and rented the space to another business. When we came back, Tirana had changed — and so had we. With fresh perspectives and our roots to guide us, we knew it was time to create something beyond a café.

That’s how OTTOS became a restocafé: where Albanian mikpritje meets Mediterranean comfort and modern cuisine — a space both rustic and fresh, at the same time familiar and new.

Today, OTTOS is more than a place to eat or drink. It’s a home in the heart of a city that never stops moving — where change is constant, the pace is fast, and noise is everywhere. In the middle of it all, OTTOS is an oasis of calm: a space to share meals, sip coffee, discover books, and enjoy time together. What started as a small corner has grown into a community space built on the same promise we began with: hospitality like home, quality without compromise, and moments worth coming back for.

Mediterranean flavours with an Albanian soul — that’s the heart of our kitchen. From colourful brunch plates to fresh pastas, organic steak, salmon, and homemade desserts, our menu is comfort with a twist.

We keep things seasonal, so every dish feels fresh and alive. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten- or lactose-free? You’re covered. And yes, all our meats are Halal.

From the first coffee at 8:30 am to late-night dinners, every plate is made with care, flavour, and a little bit of soul.

The Coffee

Why Pascucci? Single-origin coffees may be the trend, but at OTTOS, we care less about trends and more about what feels right in the cup. That’s why our choice is Pascucci — a natural coffee (no additives), eco-conscious, and built on respect for people and the planet.
It’s smooth, balanced, and already part of Albanian coffee culture — which makes it feel like home every time we serve it.

The Matcha

Our other ritual comes in green: organic ceremonial matcha straight from Kagoshima, Japan. It’s smooth, earthy, and alive with tradition — whisked, not brewed. Beyond the flavor, matcha brings calm focus, a pause in a busy day, and a connection to something deeper. We chose it because it’s pure, mindful, and timeless — and because Tirana deserves a sip of Japan.

Our Space

From the street, Ottos blends into the first floor of a communist-era block — a familiar part of the neighbourhood. Inside, the concrete pillars are still there, kept raw and honest, but softened with oak-toned wood and warm, earthy colours that run through the furniture and walls.

Beiges and muted browns give the room its calm base, with plants adding just enough green to break the structure and bring a bit of life. The chairs mix woven textures with clean lines, sturdy but still comfortable enough to keep you around longer than planned.
In the morning, light pours through the tall front windows, catching on stone floors and textured walls; by evening, softer lamps take over, giving the room a quiet golden tone.

Nothing feels staged — from the handmade ceramic cups to the rustic finishes, it’s simple, grounded, and lived-in.

A space where the history of the building and the present design meet naturally, shaped into something that feels distinctly Ottos.

Our Cups

The cup you hold at OTTOS is part of the experience. Handmade in the UK, no two are exactly the same — just like the people who come through our doors. The earthy browns and soft whites reflect the cozy, natural atmosphere we want you to feel as you sip.

We chose ceramic because it’s timeless — a natural material shaped from clay, as old as the ritual of sharing coffee itself. It holds warmth differently, making each sip fuller and each moment linger longer, a reminder of slower times when life was lived closer to nature.

The weight in your hands, the warmth against your palms, the small imperfections — every detail matters. Each cup is our way of making your moment here one of a kind, crafted with the same care we put into everything we serve.
